Timeless Style. High Quality. Since 1925.

For over three quarters of a century, Fish Furniture has provided superior products, exceptional value and outstanding customer service, making Fish Furniture the first choice for fine home furnishings throughout greater Cleveland.

The thriving retailer had its inception in 1925. Seymour and Esther Fischgrund opened a small store on Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland specializing in dinette and dining room furniture. Mr. Fischgrund would stain or paint the furniture to order while Mrs. Fish, as she was affectionately known in the trade, would decorate it or stripe the seat backs and legs to match a color in their customers' home decor.

In 1955, Al Geller, a young man who had been a salesman at the store prior to serving his country, returned and took over running the day to day operations. In 1963, he purchased the company from Mrs. Fish. Al, along with his wife Norma, who worked alongside him as the bookkeeper, built up the business together.

In 1971, a 3,000-square-foot second location was opened in North Olmsted. Ten years later the downtown store was relocated to Mayfield Heights. In 1986, Dan Geller joined the business. After the expansion of both stores in 1989 and the addition of a state-of-the-art warehouse in Bedford Heights, Fish Furniture now has more than 130,000-square-feet of showroom and warehouse space and 50 employees.

Dan Geller was named one of the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Executives by The Cleveland Plain Dealer, and now heads the company. Dan is a firm believer that fine quality products at competitive prices, outstanding customer service, and a knowledgeable staff are the keys to success at Fish Furniture.
